DStv AUDIENCES TO SEE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM ON AFRICA ON CNBC AFRICA FROM MAY 5 – 7, 2010

CNBC Africa makes history again this week by crossing live to Tanzania for the 20th World Economic Forum on Africa, to be held in Dar es Salaam , from 5-7 May 2010. Africa ’s leading business news channel will bring television viewers live coverage of WEF, the most coveted annual economic, political and business focused event on the continent. The meeting will be hosted by Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete and explores the theme of “Rethinking Africa’s Growth Strategy”.
 
Available on DStv channel 410, CNBC Africa will broadcast fast, actionable and unbiased information from the Forum. CNBC Africa’s Alishia Seckam will host a live debate on Thursday 6 May from 08H00 CAT on the topic “2010 Investment Heat map”. Debate participants include: Donald Kaberuka, President, African Development Bank; Preneet Kaur, Minister of State for External Affairs of India and Nku Nyembezi-Heita, Chief Executive Officer, ArcelorMittal South Africa .
 
The three day summit will see participation from governments, businesses and thought leaders from around the world.
